Author Guidelines

Dear authors,

Key requirements:

  1. The submission must present original, unpublished research within the journal's scope, written in English.
  2. Maximum length is 12 pages (extra pages are subject to additional charges — see the Article Publishing Charges page). The abstract should be 150–250 words.
  3. Manuscripts must be prepared using the journal template: https://wjcm.uowasit.edu.iq/index.php/wjcm/libraryFiles/downloadPublic/2
  4. The similarity percentage must not exceed 20%, and manuscripts must not contain more than 10% AI-generated text.
  5. References must follow IEEE style.
  6. Required files: title page, manuscript, cover letter, signed copyright form, and author contribution statement (plus ethics approval and animal welfare statement where applicable).
  7. Peer review is single-blind with two external reviewers. An English proofreading certificate is required after the review stage is completed.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx), prepared using MS Word 2010 or later and formatted according to the journal template.
  • Where available, URLs or DOIs for the references have been provided, following IEEE referencing style.
  • The text uses Times New Roman, 10-point for the main text, with 1.0 line spacing; employs italics rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • Manuscripts must have a similarity percentage not exceeding 20%.
  • Manuscripts should not contain more than 10% AI-generated text to be considered acceptable for publication.

Authors who publish with the Wasit Journal of Computer and Mathematics Science (WJCM) agree to the following terms:

  1. Authors retain copyright and grant the journal the right of first publication, with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), which permits others to share and adapt the work with proper attribution to the authors and the original publication in this journal.
  2. Authors may enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version of the work (e.g., posting it to an institutional repository or publishing it in a book), with an acknowledgement of its initial publication in this journal.
  3. Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on their website) after publication, as this can lead to productive exchanges and greater citation of the published work.
